Election 2020: Nana Akufo-Addo files nomination as NPP flagbearer, names Dr. Bawumia as his running mate again!
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has filed his nomination form this Thursday, February 20, 2020, at the NPP headquarters to seek re-election as the flagbearer of the Party.
He was received by the National Chairman of NPP, Mr Freddie Blay and the General Secretary, Mr John Boadu plus some other leading executives of the party.
Nana Akufo-Addo remains the only candidate who has picked and filed his nomination form to contest the flagbearership race of the NPP as the party has closed the picking and filing of nomination forms this Thursday, February 20, 2020
President Akufo-Addo used the opportunity to formally announce Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia who accompanied him to file the form as his running mate for the second time running.
Addressing party supporters at the headquarters, President Akufo-Addo thanked all of them for reposing their trust and confidence in him to lead the party again in the 2020 general elections.
Mr Akufo-Addo urged the supporters to continue working hard in order to ensure smooth victory come #Elections2020.
On January 27, 2020, Mr Victor Newman who is the Director of Research at the Presidency, went and picked the nomination form on behalf of President Akufo-Addo.
