Breaking News: Kofi B is dead; real cause of death revealed
Credible information reaching BieGyaNation.Com indicates that celebrated Ghanaian Highlife musician, Kofi B has passed on.
Kofi B, born Kofi Boakye Yiadom, was known for hit songs like ‘Mobro Wa’, ‘Akua Ataa’, ‘Akua Donkor’, ‘Koforidua Flowers’, ‘Si Ejiso’, ‘Bantama Kwasi Boakye’, among others.
According to Highlife musician Kofi Nti who was with him, Kofi B was pronounced dead on Sunday, February 2nd, 2020 at about 3:00am in the night when he was taken to the hospital to receive treatment after he complained of heart ache.
Narrating how the whole sad event occurred, Kofi Nti said they had gone to the Central Region on Saturday, February 1st, 2020 to perform for the chief of Dominase Ebaase in Mankesim, Nana Daasebre Akwebu Awusi who was celebrating his 60th birthday the next day, Sunday, February 2nd, 2020.
At about 2:30am in the night of Sunday, the late Kofi B rushed to wake up Kofi Nti to take him (Kofi B) to the hospital because his heart was aching badly.
Upon reaching the hospital, the doctor on duty gave him some injections and oxygen hoping to save the situation but Kofi B could not survive.
The doctor in an interview on Peace FM said:
“Kofi B was restless and had a very High Blood Pressure (BP). His BP was around 150/120. He had difficulty in breathing and had profuse vomiting.
“His body is being sent to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital. A postmortem will be conducted to know the real cause. For now we don’t have the authority to confirm what killed him.”
