Mama Tog disclosed that she used to scare her son Yaw Tog by threatening to curse him with boiled eggs but ended up eating them anytime the rapper complied with her instructions.
“When he (Yaw Tog) was a little kid, I used to threaten that I would curse him with boiled eggs,” she disclosed. “Sometimes, when he goes out to play at places I do not like, I chase him with boiled eggs.”
She added that she now feels shy of her son Yaw Tog as he is currently swimming in the world of stardom.
Mama Tog further disclosed that she now uses the humble approach in correcting her son Yaw Tog instead of forcing him like she previously used to do.
“I’m a bit shy of him, so I cannot criticise him. Now, when I criticise him, I do it humbly.”
Yaw Tog started life as a football player in one of the colt teams at Santasi in Kumasi.
His mother impressed upon him to stop playing football because the locality within which he played his football was incessantly raided by the police for criminals.
Yaw Tog’s music journey began after he was inspired by BET nominee, Kwesi Arthur.
His single, “Sore Remix” featuring Stormzy and Kwesi Arthur caught fire with music-loving Ghanaians shortly after its release.
