OMG! Man jumps & hangs on Nigerian aircraft he thought was flying to Ghana (Watch Video)
A Nigeria man believed to be in his 40s has made ‘history’ by jumping onto the top of a Boeing 737 aircraft moments before it was scheduled to fly this Friday morning at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, Nigeria.
His reason for the ‘historic’ jump? He thought the final destination for the Azman Air Flight was Ghana and that, his quest for greener pastures in Ghana had been heightened on his radar for quite a long time that he couldn’t have missed that rare opportunity.
Watch video of the man as he climbs the wing of the Nigerian Azman Air Flight below:
The man whose action was said to have caused some panic among passengers and the cabin crew on the flight at the Murtala Muhammed Airport was later arrested by the security men on duty.
Confirming the incident, Mrs Henrietta Yakubu who is the General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), said the man had been taken into the custody of the security unit of the airport for further interrogation.
In a viral video taken by one of the passengers, and watched by BieGyaNation.Com, the suspect is seen climbing the wing of the Azman Air Flight (Boeing 737 aircraft).
The pilots had to shut off the engines after they had been alerted by the flight attendants so as to avoid injuring the suspect.
After about a two-hour delay, the Azman Air which is a domestic flight and was bound for Port Harcourt and not Ghana as the suspect had earlier thought, resumed its scheduled trip.
As to how the suspect was able to make it onto the tarmac with his small luggage which he stuck into one of the engines of the aircraft without being caught or seen still remains a mystery.
