From Focus FM, he moved to Kapital Radio (97.1FM) to be the host of Bumper to Bumper Drive time show.
NYDJ later joined Global Media Alliance’s Y102.5 FM (Kumasi) when the managers came knocking at his doors.
According to Ebenezer Nana Yaw Donkoh who appeared on Kessben TV, he left Kapital Radio — where he spent 3 years — because he wanted a new challenge at a new environment.

NYDJ married his sweetheart, Leticia Owusu aka Maame Serwaa on Thursday, April 26th, 2018.
The colourful marriage ceremony took place in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
An elated NYDJ took to social media to share how he felt after the traditional marriage:
“All through that moment, I was still thinking of how I will stand in the presence of my parents, that of my WIFE (Leticia Owusu although I prefer to call her Maame Serwaa) and my church elders to make that bold declaration. (I’m a shy dude).
“Of course, I’ve stood in front of large crowds and delivered speeches or controlled events but this was definitely going to be different but hey, my guys were available to give me all the ‘vim’ I needed. Long and short, I took home the woman I’ve been ‘seeing’ for the past 2 years.
“As to how the story began, I might just have to leave it for my very good friend Mrs. Sandrah Sarkodie. It is a story I would share another day but for now these are just a few photos from my engagement ceremony held in Kumasi. Thanks for the numerous words of inspiration and motivation. I now present to you, Mr and Mrs. Donkoh.”
The couple welcomed their first child — a boy named Deron Wesley Donkoh — in September, 2019.
In an Instagram post, NYDJ wrote after the birth of his first child:
“You give me the biggest cause to smile. Akwaaba.”
